Prices of Pinoy Bread may go down this christmas
Prices of Pinoy Tasty or Pinoy Pandesal bread may have to go down before the advent of Christmas.
Based on the statement said by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), they already communicated to the flour millers to lower down the price of flour to P700 from the previous price of P730 and if for instance flour millers will reduced the price of flour, it will also have a P0.50 rollback of tasty and P0.25 rollback for each bag of Pinoy Pandesal bread.
This has started already last month when businesses adopted the price had a rollback the cost of bread.
With the steady prices of wheat in the international market in the past three months, Dimagiba said prices of flour could be reduced by at least P30 per bag.
DTI Undersecretary Vic Dimagiba also provided assurance that the prices for the Noche Buena will not incraease and will continue to follow the implemented and suggested retail price of these items. “Hopefully we will have a merry christmas” the Secreteray said.
