Donaire beats again Darchinyan on round 9
November 09, 2013, The Filipino Flash, Nonito Donaire Jr. again defeated “The raging bull” Vic Darchinyan in their rematch at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, this morning, Sunday in the Philippines (November 10, 2013).
Using his signature left hook , Donaire knocked Armenian boxer on canvas in the ninth round. The punch was called as “the most dangerous punch” by the HBO Boxing by the Pinoy boxer.
Darchinyan’s was still able to stand up, but Donaire never stopped throwing strong and deadly punche putting Darchinyan to the cordner of the ring and so the referee left no choice but to stop the fight.
With the Donaire’s new victory via technical knockout ( TKO ), the Filipino Flash’s new records is now 32 wins -2 losses , 21 KO ‘s.
After the match, Donaire said during the interview with HBO Boxing that ” I put my heart in it and I said that I will never , ever quit.”
The Filipino boxer first defeated the Armenian Boxer in 2007. This time, the Armenian boxer still failed to avenge his loss.
Before the fight with Darchinyan , Donaire announced that he dedicated and offer this fight to all his fellow Filipinos that were victims of the earthquake and Typhoon in the country.
Top Rank Boxing also announced that the next bout and Donaire’s target will be his rematch with Guillermo Rigondeaux.
